Nyelle Danae is a singer, songwriter, dancer, actress, and model from Denver, Colorado. With a deep passion for all aspects of entertainment, she is on a mission to become a multifaceted artist. Her music, rooted in R&B, soul, and pop, speaks directly to women, bringing back the raw storytelling and emotions of ’90s and early 2000s R&B. Inspired by icons like Teyana Taylor, Beyoncé, Keke Palmer, Miley Cyrus, SZA, LaRussell, Tink, Ann Marie, and Summer Walker, she blends vulnerability with strength, creating music that resonates with those finding their way back to themselves.

Nyelle has been singing her whole life but was initially shy. That changed in 2023 when she released her debut song, Fake, a track she wrote in 2022. The personal growth that followed became the foundation of her 2024 EP, Dear Self, marking a turning point in her artistry. Since August 2024, she has been fully dedicated to her music career, making waves in the Denver music scene.

Her talent runs in the family. Her mother, Michelle Williams, was a singer and rapper who nurtured her gift from a young age, having her do vocal exercises and perform at family talent shows. Today, she serves as Nyelle’s stylist, bringing her keen fashion sense to her daughter’s brand. Her stepfather, Kenyatta Algee, was a musician and engineer, helping Nyelle refine her sound and execute her music at a high level. Her father, Quincy Mitchell, was a promoter, giving her valuable insight into marketing and building her brand. With such a strong support system, Nyelle has been able to navigate the industry with confidence, proving that it truly takes a village.

Her journey as a performer began early. Throughout middle and high school, she took choir, earned multiple solos, and studied advanced dance for two years. She later attended Washburn University, where she majored in musical theater and minored in vocal performance. There, she performed in multiple plays, studied tap dance, and honed her skills as both a singer and actress.

Nyelle’s live performances have solidified her place as an emerging star. She first took the stage at the Qoncert Awards (2024) and later performed at Bring the Peace Block Party (September 2024). She joined IssBrazy at R&B Jam Fest Vol. 17, impressing the crowd so much that she was invited back for R&B Jam Fest Vol. 18 (November 2024). Beyond music, she also models, walking for Slimball at the On the Rise Streetwear Fashion Show, which led to her performance at the On the Rise “Rebirth” Streetwear Fashion Show (January 2025). She is set to perform at the Live Art Party in March 2025.

She has collaborated with talented local artists such as IssBrazy, Trippy MOE (who also engineers her music), and PDAE.

At the core of Nyelle Danae’s message is empowerment. She wants women—especially those who have been wronged—to find their way back to themselves, reminding them that they can do anything if they put in the work. She encourages keeping God at the center while weeding out negativity, whether from friends or family. Through her music, performances, and influence, she hopes to inspire young girls and women to chase their dreams fearlessly.
